SEFTON COUNCIL ELECTION RESULTS MAY 1st 2008

MEOLS WARD LIBERAL DEMOCRAT SUCCESS
John Dodd was re-elected as a councillor for Meols ward with 1,714 votes. The Lib-Dem Focus team of three local councillors, representing Crossens, Churchtown and parts of Marshside, is David Rimmer, David Tattersall and John Dodd.

The votes for the other candidates were:

Conservative 1,134
Southport Party 277
UK IP 209
Labour 168

LIBERAL DEMOCRATS WIN MANOR WARD !

The only change throughout the whole of Sefton was a dramatic change in Manor ward, Crosby.

Liberal Democrat John Gibson unseated the sitting Conservative councillor - winning by just under 70 votes after a recount.
