Arriva Bus Service Changes From 29th March

 

Arriva are looking at a network review in Southport. These changes have now been registered and will come in to operation 29^th March 2015. We will also be carrying out a marketing campaign to notify customers, wrap on Southport Champion, bus shelter ads at key strategic locations etc.

Below is a brief summary of changes for your information:

Service 42 withdrawn

Service 43 unchanged (now serving Central 12 retail park).

Service 43A Sunday evening service increased to 30 minute frequency.

Service 44 increased to 20 minute frequency during Day now serving Virginia St, Forest Rd, Haig Avenue, Meols Cop Road  to now serve Kew Retail Park and terminating Walnut St with hourly service to Formby. Formby journeys will not serve Walnut St. Hoghton St will be served in both directions. Station Road in Ainsdale no longer served towards Southport.

Service 46 unchanged

Service 49 extra Sunday morning journeys

Service 300 will no longer serve Orrell Park but instead travel down Hornby Road, Aintree Road and Marsh Lane in both directions. Service will also omit Meols Cop Rd, Sussex Road and Hoghton St instead will use Scarisbrick New Road, Lord St and terminate Union St. Extra journeys added.

 

Service 375/385 will no longer serve Town Lane in either direction but will continue from Southport Road onto Scarisbrick New Road. All Sunday journeys will run through to Wigan.
