Campaign Builds Against: Further Conservative Police Cuts in Merseyside

Campaign builds against further Conservative police cuts in Merseyside. Campaign against further cuts in beat policing on Merseyside has now spread across the City Region. National police chiefs have flagged up the likely disappearance of beat bobbies if Chancellor George Osborne pushes ahead with planned cutbacks in police funding. More locally, the Chief Constable has said that Merseyside Police may have to cut out Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) altogether. Petition signatures against the police cuts are being collected door to door and by leaflet in shops.
